My perfect client
After spending a years in this industry Ive learned my perfect client. Both talent and client. Im going to tell you here what we don’t have time to tell you in the field.
Dear Talent,
When you approach us, BE KIND AND COURTEOUS, we get approached often, and most times people just don’t have their stuff together. Please hav e marketing materials. Like an EPK, If you don’t know what that is google it, you should know professional photos, video footage of a real performance, up to date social media on all platforms. We may change it later but that at least tells is that you are working or trying. We want someone who wants to be a team player is open to building a team. Someone who knows that even at the height of their career there is still work to be done. SAY NO TO DRUGS!!! party responsibly we don’t want to have to hire a babysitter for you. Lastly some who we don’t have to follow up on over and over again. Pretty soon we will just drop you and find another person who appreciates our time, time is money.
Dear Client,
We appreciate you, we love you and you are the reason we work. However, we need you to do these things…. Know your budget, we don’t want to take all your money but give us something to work. with. We have talent on all levels, we are working for you too. You ever heard the saying You can buy a Porche with Ford money? You can’t. But we can come pretty darn close if you tell us what your exact needs are. Leave the guessing game out of it. Treat people with respect, if you want talent for long hours its always nice to provide water and crackers. it goes a long way. No amount of money is good enough to deal with someone who is hard to work with. We appreciate your interest.
